FREE MOVIE PASSES to “The Birth of a Nation”

I am 100% conflicted about this movie.

As a film-fan, I’ve been dying to see The Birth of a Nation ever since it was screened at Sundance last year and left critics breathless. Writer-Director and star Nate Parker seemed destined for an Oscar and Fox Searchlight Pictures bought the worldwide rights for 17.5 million dollars. It was the largest deal ever made at a film festival.

As a woman though, I can’t ignore the rape charges that Nate Parker has faced. I can’t tune-out the calls to boycott The Birth of a Nation or the horrible stories about what happened on the night in question. You can click HERE to get more information about that, but prepare yourself. It’s pretty upsetting.

So what do I do with these free movie passes?

Well, seeing The Birth of a Nation at a FREE SCREENING gives you a chance to witness an important and largely untold story without putting money in anyone’s pockets. Click HERE to get free passes, then watch the trailer below. And if you’re still conflicted, try focusing on Nat Turner and the real fighters of the Virginia rebellion. The Birth of a Nation is, after all, based on actual events.

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life” ON ME!

Did you know that James Patterson writes books for kids? Yep, the same guy who brought us Alex Cross and the Women’s Murder Club also has a series for children, which sounds like cause-for-concern, but it isn’t. I mean, the man has written almost 150 novels during his career so he’d HAVE to branch out at some point.

Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is based on Patterson’s book about Rafe Khatchadorian, who starts middle school and decides to break every single rule in it’s Code of Conduct. Can he do so without getting caught? Will his Mom (Lauren Graham) or her creepy new boyfriend (Rob Riggle) find out what Rafe’s been up to? Would you care more about these questions if you could see the movie EARLY & FOR FREE? If so, click HERE to snag your free movie passes, then watch the trailer below. Holy cow, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life will probably be MY middle-schooler’s new favorite movie!

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “The Dressmaker” ON ME!

The Dressmaker stars Kate Winslet as a fashion designer who returns to her small Australian hometown to right the wrongs of her past. She does so by outfitting the town in haute couture, but will it be enough to change their opinions of her?

The Dressmaker has some outstanding names, like Judy Davis and Hugo Weaving, but my FAVORITE bit of casting has to be Liam Hemsworth as Winslet’s potential lover. I’m onboard with any movie where Hemsworth and Winslet could be a THING! If you are too, click HERE to get your free passes, then watch the trailer below. Oh my word, I might have to watch that again!

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Masterminds” ON ME!

I think I’d watch anything with Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon in it. In fact, my current idea of HEAVEN would be the two of them narrating a nonstop loop of those Tasty videos. Yeah, but only the recipes that featured lots of cream cheese and canned biscuits!

While we’re waiting for that to magically happen, we can watch Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon in Masterminds. This one also stars Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, and Zach Galifianakis as an armored-car driver who steals 17 million dollars worth of cash. If you’d like to see Masterminds EARLY and FOR FREE, just click HERE, then watch the trailer below. Man, Masterminds is based on actual events, but I hope just LOOSELY!

On April 20th, 2010, the world’s largest man-made disaster occurred on an off-shore drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico. The Deepwater Horizon exploded and created the largest oil-spill in history AND took 11 lives in the process. Director Peter Berg tells the Deepwater Horizon story with the help of Mike Williams (played by Mark Wahlberg), who actually survived the explosion.

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Storks” ON ME!

People complain all the time that Hollywood has run out of ideas. “That’s why we keep seeing sequels and remakes,” they tell me, but that was before Storks. In this movie, storks no longer deliver babies and focus on internet sales instead. It proves to be lucrative until someone accidentally makes a baby. Now one stork must find a home for it, with the help of the only human on “Stork Mountain.”

Yeah, I’ve definitely never heard that story before.

Storks comes from the same studios that gave us The Lego Movie and it stars Andy Samberg (whom we all have secret crushes on, right?). Jennifer Aniston also makes an appearance and she hasn’t voiced a character since The Iron Giant in 1999 (SEE IT if you haven’t already). If you’d like see Storks EARLY and FOR FREE, click HERE to grab your passes, then watch the trailer below. See? They’ve definitely never made THIS movie before!

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “The Magnificent Seven” ON ME!

Where has Chris Pratt been? Sure, I’ve seen him nightly on HBO since they’re playing Jurassic World on repeat, but it’s been far too long since my pretend-boyfriend was on the big screen. This dry-spell will come to an end soon, thank goodness, since The Magnificent Seven is hitting theaters September 23rd.

The Magnificent Seven stars Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, along with the Pool-Boy-of-Your-Dreams Chris Pratt, as gunmen who band together to save a town from thieves. It isn’t a remake of the 1960’s classic, just a re-imagining, so you purists can relax. The Magnificent Seven also stars Haley Bennett, who has had a HUGE year after starring in Hardcore Henry in the spring and in The Girl on the Train next month. Haley is the girl you keep thinking is Jennifer Lawrence, but isn’t.

If you’d like to see The Magnificent Seven EARLY and FOR FREE, just click HERE, then watch the trailer below. See, you totally thought she was Jennifer Lawrence, didn’t you?

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Blair Witch” ON ME!

Can we all take a minute to pretend that the awful Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows movie never came out? Seriously? Can we go back to a world where the original Blair Witch Project scared the bejeezus out of everyone and no one would even think of rolling their eyes about a new Blair Witch movie?

Because that’s the world we’re living in today, my friend.

Director Adam Wingard, who helmed the fantastic You’re Next in 2011, has taken the reigns of Blair Witch and helped that nasty witch find her fangs again. Everyone who has seen it is raving about it and, best of all, I have passes to see Blair Witch EARLY and FOR FREE. Just click HERE to snag those, then watch the trailer below. Oh man, they even brought back those freaky straw figures!

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Sully” ON ME!

What would you do if you met Chesley Sullenberger today?

Would you shake his hand? Buy him a drink? Maybe give him a big bear hug?

Did you know that the man who landed a disabled Airbus A320 on the Hudson River has been questioned about that decision? Did you also know that many flight simulations found the plane he was flying that day COULD have made it back to the airport safely? Is it possible that he actually risked the lives of the 155 people onboard when he landed in the water?

Do you still want to buy Sully that drink?

Sully stars Tom Hanks as Chesley Sullenberger and it’s directed by Clint Eastwood. It’s based on Sullenberger’s own memoir, The Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters, and here’s the deal…

I’ve already seen it.

Yes, I’ve already seen it and I’m DYING to tell you all about it but I’ve been asked by the studio not to. All I can do is tell you something you already know…

You REALLY want to see this movie.

And thanks to ME, you get to see it early and for free! Just click HERE for those passes, then watch the trailer below. You know what? I think I’d give Sully that big bear hug anyway.
