If you stop and think about Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy as a real human being for a moment, it’s a bit overwhelming. She’s such an iconic part of our history, it’s easy to imagine her as some kind of animatronic figure in Disney’s Hall of Presidents. She was a real person though, and when you consider everything she went through, from the assassination on, it takes your breath away. Jackie tells the story of the days surrounding that event and what likely happened behind the scenes. Natalie Portman plays the title character and it’s no surprise to anyone that she receiving Oscar Buzz. So, would YOU like to see Jackie EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →

Don’t we ALL have a horrible Office Christmas Party in our past? I made out with my boss at one, years ago. And someone from the morning show, later that same night. But I’m not alone, am I? Many of us have an awful Office Christmas Party in our past, which is why I’m DYING to see the movie, Office Christmas Party.
This one stars T.J. Miller, who’s branch is about to be shut down by his sister (played by Jennifer Anniston). He plans a monumental office party, in hopes of wooing a client who might save their whole company. Yes, the story sounds thin but I laughed like hell at the trailer. I even rewound it multiple times to watch that guy fall on the file cabinet again and again! You haven’t seen it? Oh GOD! OK, just click HERE to get your free passes, then watch the trailer below. DAYUMMM, that’s gotta hurt!
I remember going to see Flash Gordon with my cousins back in 1980. We were all in Conway, Arkansas for the holidays and I was the youngest kid in this particular outing. I felt so cool, hanging out with the big girls (even though the Emperor Ming scared me a little) and I love that stupid movie to this day. My point is that everyone LOVES catching a movie over the holidays, especially if they have fun relatives around, and now you can do it FOR FREE. See, AMC Theaters will be offering FREE SCREENINGS of the movie Sing nationwide the Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/26/16). Continue reading →
I started a minor riot on my Facebook page yesterday. No, it wasn’t about that. I just admitted that I don’t like musicals and everyone attacked, saying they were outraged and that we could no longer be friends. I thought I might have to say something political, just to calm them all down. The only reason I mentioned my disdain for musicals is because I saw LA LA LAND and loved it. Yes, I adored every single second of that movie even though Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling sing and dance the whole way through it. That might sound ridiculous to anti-musical people like ME, but LA LA LAND is also the top contender for Best Picture this year. So, do you want to see it EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →
Aren’t you excited about The Space Between Us? WHAT? You didn’t know anything about it??? Well honestly, neither did it. There are just too many movies coming out right now and sometimes, a really special one slips through the cracks. The Space Between Us stars Asa Butterfield (who JUST starred in the Miss Peregrine movie) as a boy who is born on Mars. He wants to experience life on Earth, even though it will probably kill him. He develops an online relationship with a girl (Britt Robertson) and decides to risk his life to be with her. I have passes to see The Space Between Us EARLY and FOR FREE, but the screening is TOMORROW NIGHT!!! Continue reading →
Are you in the mood for one of those epic WWII pictures that usually come out this time of year? I hope so, because Director Robert Zemeckis (Cast Away, Forrest Gump) is delivering Allied just in time for the holidays. This one stars Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard as an intelligence officer and resistance fighter who connect behind enemy lines. Will their relationship withstand the pressures of war or will they turn on each other? I think the real question here is whether or not YOU will be able to ignore your mixed feelings about Brad Pitt long enough to enjoy Allied. Seriously, what was that all about? It will probably help if you see Allied EARLY and FOR FREE and fortunately, I have passes! Continue reading →
It’s Oscar Season, so I’ve spent most of my movie-time lately bawling through one picture after another. I don’t mind because they are all deeply moving and insightful films that will benefit the human race…but they don’t have to be. No, some movies are just there to be disgusting, shocking and unbelievably funny, like Bad Santa 2. It’s interesting because, out of ALL the exciting new films that are coming out, THIS is the one everyone has been asking me about. That’s why I’m especially glad to have to passes to see Bad Santa 2 EARLY and FOR FREE. Continue reading →
Remember when you were seventeen and everything kind of sucked? Your parents would go on and on about how you were living the “best years of your life,” and you just wanted them to end as soon as possible? Or was that just me? Maybe that’s why I watch the trailer for The Edge of Seventeen and feel like I have lived in this girl’s acned, uncomfortable skin.
Hailee Steinfeld plays Nadine, whose life falls apart when her best-friend starts dating her older brother. She’s left alone and adrift, without her best-friend to help her navigate the increasingly awkward waters of young adulthood. Nadine’s sounding-board is her teacher, Mr. Bruner. He’s played by Woody Harrelson, so you know poor Nadine is screwed. Actually, anyone who has seen this movie says their scenes together are fantastic.

How would you like to see 20th Century Women before it hits theaters at Christmas? I have free passes to an early screening, but I don’t have many. In fact, I only have 5 PAIRS, but they’re for reserved seats so you don’t have to wait in line like you usually do at screenings. Continue reading →
