I’ve got it bad for Kathryn Bigelow.
Not only did she direct and co-write two of my favorite movies (The Hurt Locker & Zero Dark Thirty), she also ran against ex-husband James Cameron for the 2010 Best Director Oscar and beat him. That has to be the greatest case of revenge EVER.
I’d get behind anything Kathryn Bigelow did but her latest movie, Detroit, looks outstanding. She has re-teamed with writing partner Mark Boal, to tell the true story of the 1967 Detroit Rebellion. Bigelow also packed the cast with powerhouses like John Boyega, Anthony Mackie, Jason Mitchell and John Krasinski. She even found a spot for Hannah Murray, whom we can all agree plays an adorable Gilly in Game of Thrones. So, want to join me at an EARLY and COMPLETELY FREE screening of Detroit?
