I haven’t posted on the Julie Says So movie website since May…for obvious reasons. It still surprised me to open the front page and find a tumbleweed rolling across. I was even more shocked when I had to chase a family of squirrels out of the Free Movie Passes page, but I did so because I actually have free movie passes to give away. Well, not the kind you’re familiar with. Instead of sitting in a theater filled with masked strangers, trying desperately to stifle a cough, you can watch this movie in the privacy of your own home!
The film is Chemical Hearts, starring Lili Reinhart (Riverdale) and Austin Abrams (Euphoria, The Walking Dead). It’s based on the novel Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland, about teenagers who fall in love while working on the school newspaper (sounds like YA fare but Chemical Hearts is rated R).
Is it good? I have no idea. I just know you have a chance to watch it for free and then share your thoughts with the studio. Sounds fun, right? Click HERE if you’re interested in seeing Chemical Hearts. You will receive a confirmation and a reminder two days before the screening, but here’s the catch (because there’s always a catch): On the day of the screening, you will get an official link one hour before the movie starts. This is how you get in line, so to speak. If you’re not there soon enough, you lose your shot. Get there in time and you’re good as gold! Is it worth it? Who knows? Just watch the trailer below to decide and please-stay healthy!!!
