Julie Says So: What’s Streaming NOW (for 3/26/20)

Need something new to watch? Maybe another sofa activity that won’t lead to self-loathing. What? I was referring to your habit of eating cake icing directly from the tub. Or is that just me? Well, COVID-19 might be a horrific pandemic but it couldn’t have come at a better time, with all the TV there is to watch. I’m joking, of course, but you’ve wanted to catch up on the shows and movies people were talking about. Now you’ve got the time.
If you don’t mind spending a little cash some big flicks are now streaming, like Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey (read my review), Robert Downey Jr. in Doolittle or Guy Ritchie’s latest The Gentlemen (read my review*hint*I loved it).

If you’d rather save your cash, Vulture just put together an awesome list of The 50 Best Horror Movies on Netflix Right Now. There’s something for even seasoned horror fans, like the South Korean zombie flick Train to Busan or I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, directed by Oz Perkins (Anthony Perkins’ son!).

Rotten Tomatoes is known for their Best Of… compilation lists and they’ve been working overtime lately. You can now find the 150 Best Sports Movies of All Time as well as the 250 Best Movies on Amazon Prime Right Now (the Top 10 of that last one includes oldies like The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari from 1920 and Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid).

Also, remember renting movies? Well, it’s still a thing if you happen to own something to play them on. Redbox currently has great flicks available to rent, like 1917, Jumanji: The Next Level and Knives Out, which are all excellent time suckers. Just remember to wipe down that kiosk screen and wash your hands thoroughly after grabbing your movies.

The Julie Says So Free Movie Passes page is currently on-hold, for obvious reasons, but I’ll do my best to keep you posted on any movie updates I hear of. If there’s a film that YOU would like to tell everyone about, feel free to share it in the Comments below and stay well everybody!
