I interviewed Adam Pally years ago, when he was still on that excellent TV show, Happy Endings (GOD, I miss that show!). He spent the first few minutes of our chat describing the bowel movement he’d had that morning and I could not stop laughing. Yes, Adam Pally can even discuss post-tequila stomach distress in a way that’s CHARMING, which is why I’ll support the man in whatever he does. That includes his latest movie Dog Days, which also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Eva Longoria and Finn Wolfhard. It looks like the perfect way for dog lovers to escape the heat, plus it’s rated PG so you can take your kids! If you’d like to see Dog Days EARLY and FOR FREE Continue reading →
Did you know that James Patterson writes books for kids? Yep, the same guy who brought us Alex Cross and the Women’s Murder Club also has a series for children, which sounds like cause-for-concern, but it isn’t. I mean, the man has written almost 150 novels during his career so he’d HAVE to branch out at some point.
Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is based on Patterson’s book about Rafe Khatchadorian, who starts middle school and decides to break every single rule in it’s Code of Conduct. Can he do so without getting caught? Will his Mom (Lauren Graham) or her creepy new boyfriend (Rob Riggle) find out what Rafe’s been up to? Would you care more about these questions if you could see the movie EARLY & FOR FREE? If so, click HERE to snag your free movie passes, then watch the trailer below. Holy cow, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life will probably be MY middle-schooler’s new favorite movie!
This week on the Podcast, I review The 5th Wave, Dirty Grandpa and Son of Saul. I’ll also talk about the #OscarSoWhite controversy, since Straight Outta Compton is now available on DVD. I’ll also answer some emailed questions about The Martian, because people are still asking me if it’s appropriate for kids. It really all depends on your kid…and just how much you swear around them. I’d also like to share this article with Scott from Dallas, who asked if I knew how solid the science behind The Martian is. Scott, bless your little heart for assuming I’m smart enough to answer that question. Instead, here’s an interview with Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, because HE would know! http://www.cbsnews.com/news/neil-degrasse-tyson-science-behind-the-martian/
Adam Pally (Happy Endings, The Mindy Project) was in town today and I was lucky enough to hang out with him. Pally was here to promote his new movie Dirty Grandpa with Robert De Niro and Zac Efron, but he discussed everything under the sun with us, from parenting to bowel movements. Adam Pally seriously described his poop to us, which made me love him even more. Thanks to Matt Mungle for joining me in the interview and asking all of the good questions.
