I hit Good Morning Texas today to talk about the 2020 Oscars and how 1917 was ROBBED!!! No, I’m just kidding. I loved Parasite and was pleased to see it make history last night. Just wish Sam Mendes would’ve gotten a tiny bit more love. Click HERE to hear the rest of our thoughts and remember to hit the Free Movie Passes page to see what I’m giving away!
I was on Good Morning Texas today, going over all the big movies to watch for in the coming weeks. We’ve got some monstrous flicks on the horizon, like Spider-Man: Far From Home, Toy Story 4, The Lion King and Annabelle Comes Home so click HERE to watch my Summer Movie Preview. Also, try to ignore the fact that I don’t know what to do with my hands on TV. Next time, can I just braid Alanna Sarabia’s hair while we’re talking?
I need to say a huge THANK YOU to Dallas Jewelry Design Studio Vintaglio for providing the beautiful turquoise jewelry I wore today. You can see what else they have to offer on their Facebook page, or by following them on Instagram. Better yet, drop by the new Vintaglio showroom at 1903 Skillman Street in Dallas, Texas. Their jewelry is even better in person, and they’ll gladly discuss custom designs with you.
Don’t forget to check the Julie Says So Free Movie Passes page before you go because I’ve got lots of freebies rolling in. I think there are even some passes left to see the new Toy Story 4!
I was on Good Morning Texas Friday with my favorite Literary Expert, Gwen Reyes from Fresh Fiction, and surprise Guest Host, Bill Bellamy! We discussed all the gossip that’s been circling the 2019 Oscars (is there actually GOING to be a host???) and made our predictions for Sunday night’s ceremony. You can watch that HERE, and don’t forget to watch the 2019 Oscars on ABC this Sunday night at 8pmET. Join me on Twitter too (@JulieHFisk) as I share my opinions throughout the night. I promise my tweets get better as the night goes on (and the wine goes down). Also, if you’d like to catch Bill Bellamy onstage this weekend, he’ll be at the Addison Improv Friday through Sunday. You can find tickets to those shows HERE.

It’s been a quiet month for movies, but that’s going to change this weekend when February films start hitting the screen. I was on Good Morning Texas recently, telling everyone which films they should watch for and what to plan their Valentine’s Day around. Click HERE to watch the segment, then find tickets to your movie HERE:
Remember to check the FREE MOVIE PASSES page to see what I’m giving away next (I’ll have passes to see The Lego Movie 2 next week!) and take a minute to watch the trailer for They Shall Not Grow Old below. This movie opens February 1st, to celebrate the centennial of the end of WWI. It’s remarkable to think that the footage you’re looking at is over 100 years old!
I was on Good Morning Texas today to talk about the 2019 Golden Globes and how they will affect the Oscars this year. The countless surprises during the Globes ceremony have ignited debates everywhere, and this morning was no exception. Alanna Sarabia felt that Bohemian Rhapsody deserved that Best Picture win (which I strongly disagree with) while Jane McGarry had reservations about Green Book (which I understand but still love the film). The debates didn’t end there, because my friends started tweeting and texting their complaints to me as I walked out of the WFAA studios. We’ll just have to see how things pan out on January 22nd when the Oscar nominations are announced, and then on February 24th when the Oscars air on ABC. In the meantime, watch my Good Morning Texas segment HERE and see if you want to debate me, too! You can also click the Alamo Drafthouse link below to buy tickets and catch up on all of those award-winning films!
Been wondering what movies you need to see? I was just on Good Morning Texas, talking to Alanna Sarabia about that very thing. I covered some big Oscar-buzz flicks, like The Favourite, Mary Queen of Scots, and Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma, as well as the new Jungle Book film, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle. We also talked about the new Marvel projects, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 that everyone’s so excited about. Click HERE to watch the segment, then buy tickets to the movie of your choice HERE:
Check the website for more movie reviews, if none of these new ones strike your fancy, and you might as well take a look at the Once Upon a Deadpool trailer while you’re here. Omigod, seriously…Fred Savage???
I was on Good Morning Texas today, breaking down all my favorite moments from the 2018 Emmy’s with Jane McGarry, Alanna Sarabia and Holly Quartaro from the Galleria Dallas. Click HERE to watch the segment, but there were TWO important things that I didn’t have time to mention!
First of all, do you remember that strange man who shook Bill Hader’s hand after he won?
If you watch the show Atlanta on FX, you’ll recognize him as Teddy Perkins from what has to be the freakiest episode of that series yet! You can read more about him HERE, or better yet, just go find the Teddy Perkins episode and WATCH IT!
I also wanted to talk about Joe Keery (“Steve” from Stranger Things) and his voluminous mullet. The Twitter-verse just about imploded when he showed up with…wait. Who was he with? I know he had a date but I was too busy looking at that hair.
Feel free to share your favorite moments from the 2018 Emmy’s in the “Comments” below and remember to check the Free Movie Passes page while your here. I hope to have freebies to see A Star Is Born any day now!
I was on Good Morning Texas today, telling everyone what movies they should see in the following weeks. I always love talking to Jane McGarry and Alanna Sarabia and if you listen carefully, you’ll hear me cluck like a chicken at them for freaking out over The Nun. I also promised to post the trailer for The Nun that YouTube pulled for being TOO SCARY. Click HERE to watch that but BE WARNED! You should probably avoid it if you have a weak heart…or bladder.
Click HERE if you’d rather just watch the Good Morning Texas segment, and remember to check my FREE MOVIE PASSES page to see what kind of goodies I’m giving away. Also check the links below for movie trailers and tickets! Continue reading →
I joined Alanna Sarabia on Good Morning Texas today to talk about all the big films that are opening soon. I also gave her my review of Ant-Man and the Wasp and told her about some FREE MOVIE PASSES that I’m giving away. You can find those HERE, then click HERE to watch the segment. And THANKS to basketball Hall-of-Famer Nancy Lieberman for keeping me company in the Green Room and telling me that awesome story about Neve Campbell! (You can find out more about the Nancy Lieberman basketball camps for kids at http://nancyliebermancharities.org.)
I was on Good Morning Texas this week, to update everyone on May’s big movie releases. We tried something new as well, and discussed all the films and TV shows that are filming in North Texas and how YOU could be on them. Well, you wouldn’t believe how many people have asked me about that since, so I decided to put all the links in one place to make it easier for everyone. Continue reading →
