B.J. Cleveland

MOVIE REVIEWS (by proxy)- B.J. Cleveland Dishes About “Colossal” & “Their Finest”

OK, I’ll admit it. I haven’t seen a movie in a week. Well, OVER a week, since I’m being honest. Sorry, but an extended Easter break and my kid’s 13th birthday made it impossible to get anything done. Even now, I’m listening some obnoxious kids’ show blasting from the other room and it’s Tuesday. WHY ARE THEY STILL OUT OF SCHOOL???

Anyhow, I haven’t seen any movies but my friend, B.J. Cleveland has.
B.J. is a local actor who…
Wait, that’s an understatement. To understand how truly awesome B.J. is, you need to read this quote from The Dallas Morning News:

“B.J. Cleveland is legendary…one of the most talented and versatile talents in town!”

This is why I brag about knowing him. Anyhow, B.J. was alternately cheering and moaning about the movies he saw this weekend, so I asked him to write some reviews for me. I told him that I only needed a few lines, featuring his sparkling wit, and THIS is what B.J. wrote. No one can EVER accuse this man of half-assing anything.

Holiday Traditions

HOLIDAY TRADITIONS on “Good Morning Texas”

I was on Good Morning Texas today, talking about my favorite Holiday Traditions. If you missed it, just click HERE to watch it on www.WFAA.com. There were several traditions I DIDN’T mention though, like drinking the strong homemade eggnog my husband whips up every year and nodding off while watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Or the annual custom of crying over maxed out credit cards and never-ending Christmas lists. Ahh, the holidays! No, today we talked about fun stuff, like parades, pageants and festive ballerinas. OK, so there was ONE burlesque show in there but these are MY traditions we’re talking about. If any of them sounded fun to you, check out the list below and click the links for more information. BLOG: Reviewing (my friend) B.J. Cleveland in “The Nance”

You never know who your real friends are until things get ugly. I didn’t know that B.J. Cleveland WAS a real friend until he came to my rescue, TWICE.

We were just acquaintances who chatted through social media until last fall, when I got caught in a storm. I was driving down Northwest Highway when it hit and took conditions down to zero visibility. I pulled off the road to get out of the high winds when I noticed a group of people standing next to a building. They were motioning others to come in so I, in a state of panic, ran from my car and followed them. Continue reading →
