There are 3 big new movies opening this weekend and if you’re interested in one of them, odds are you couldn’t care less about the other two. Let’s start with what will probably take over the #1 spot at the box-office, Blade Runner 2049.

I give away Free Movie Passes all the time. That’s awesome, if you live near Dallas, Texas and have time to come to a scheduled screening. It’s easier to just go to a movie whenever you want, which is why I’m so freaking pumped about this:
I have free passes to see Blade Runner 2049, WHENEVER & WHEREVER YOU WANT TO! Continue reading →
It isn’t easy to watch myself on TV. Sometimes, I talk too fast and forget things. Other times, I mispronounce actors’ names or use words that don’t exist. Today, I managed to do all four on Good Morning Texas, and even worked in the word “fictitional.” Nope, it’s not a word. I did, however, get to review new movies like Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, Arrival, and Manchester By the Sea. I also got to talk about some upcoming flicks I’m jazzed about, like Nocturnal Animals and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Click HERE to watch the segment. Special THANKS to Pete Delkus, who joined Jane McGarry and I in our movie-chat. Sorry I went total FAN GIRL on you, Delkus!
Arrival is already a front-runner for Best Picture and Best Director in this year’s Oscar race. Amy Adams is on the short-list of potential Best Leading Actress nominees as well, thanks to her role in Arrival. It’s also currently getting 100% on the website Rotten Tomatoes, which means they can’t find a film critic who has a bad thing to say about it anywhere. That’s quite a feat. So, do you want to see Arrival early and for free? Continue reading →
I can’t tell you how much I love this time of year. There’s a chill in the air (OK, not really but there’s the promise of one), PSLs are everywhere and I can no longer take my youngest to Walgreen’s because their scary Halloween decorations are out. The BEST part about this time of year though, is how the movie studios start releasing GREAT FILMS. Yes, Oscar Season is right around the corner and it’s packed with movies you currently know nothing about. Some of the films getting the most Oscar Buzz will be released next month, which is why I compiled this list of Oscar Contenders to See this November. Continue reading →
So many new TV shows and movies are coming down the pipe, it’s hard to keep track of all of them. I’ve been digging through the press releases and picking out the ones that I personally am most pumped about. Take, for instance, Sicario from Director Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners) and screenwriter Taylor Sheridan. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Sheridan plays Deputy Chief David Hale on the FX series Sons of Anarchy. He’s apparently a writer in his spare time and a pretty damn good one, as well.
Sicario is about an anti-drug-cartel task force and stars Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin. Emily Blunt is at the heart of it all, playing an FBI Agent who is drafted into the group. When I saw Blunt’s name attached to Sicario, my first thought was, “What is SHE doing here?” I asked the same question about her role in Edge of Tomorrow though, and Blunt absolutely killed it in that movie. There’s already Oscar buzz around this one, specifically for Blunt’s performance so let’s keep our fingers crossed for her. Sicario will open in theaters September 18th. Continue reading →
