PODCAST: “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” Review (w/ a healthy dose of profanity)

Rebekah Black and I saw Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice last night, then recorded our thoughts about it. I don’t want to give anything away, but we got pretty worked up and eventually started peppering the review with our favorite swear words. That’s why you probably shouldn’t listen to this around your kids and if you listen at work, turn it down REALLY low. Enjoy!

TRAILER PORN: “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” EXCLUSIVE SNEAK

Are you even capable of being excited about anything other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens right now? I get it. I feel the exact same way but they’re releasing a new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice tonight and it’s hard NOT to get a little jazzed about it (Yes, even IF you’re still pissed at Ben Affleck for the whole nanny thing). That’s going to air on Jimmy Kimmel Live at 11:35/10:35 Central and they even made an exclusive sneak to get us pumped. It doesn’t show Wonder Woman though, so I don’t think it really counts.

Catch the full NEW trailer tonight and if you somehow missed the full-length Comic-Con trailer, take a little look at THIS:

MOVIE REVIEW: Bryan Cranston Channels “Trumbo”

That’s part of the reason I’m struggling to review the movie Trumbo. Cranston is in every scene, hunching his shoulders, smoking cigarettes and sputtering lines that only he could get away with. He doesn’t steal the show because he IS the show and at times, it’s distracting.

Bryan Cranston plays Dalton Trumbo, a Hollywood screenwriter who was blacklisted in the 1940’s for being a Communist. He and other writers, known as The Hollywood 10, were banished (Trumbo even did jail time) and forced to write under pseudonyms to make money. That is when Trumbo penned 2 Oscar winning films, and under different names. Continue reading →
