FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “The Star” EARLY & FOR FREE

It’s officially Christmas, now that Halloween has passed.
I know this for a FACT because I went to the mall today and they were already putting up Christmas decorations. True story. I also know it’s officially Christmas because I just got a bunch of free passes to a holiday movie called The Star. This one stars Tyler Perry, Kristin Chenoweth, and Steven Yeun and tells the story of Dave the Donkey, who apparently saved Jesus somehow. Look, you could overthink it and fight the onslaught of Christmas OR you could just trade that Pumpkin Spice Latte in for a Peppermint Mocha and roll with it. Continue reading →

Three Billboards

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri” EARLY & FOR FREE

I could write a 3-part essay about Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, explaining why you REALLY want to see this movie. I could tell you about the cast, which includes Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, and Peter Dinklage OR how it’s written and directed by Martin McDonagh, who made those other two movies you loved (Seven Psychopaths and In Bruges). I could talk all day about it’s incredible performances and Oscar chances, but the thing that will REALLY make you want to see Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri is it’s trailer. I posted that below so watch it, then grab passes to see it EARLY and FOR FREE Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Thor: Ragnorak” EARLY & FOR FREE

My daughters and I have been pumped about Thor: Ragnorak for AGES. You know what has us the most excited though? Not the fact that Mark Ruffalo shows up as The Hulk, or that Tom Hiddleston is back as Loki. Nor were we jazzed that Cate Blanchett plays Hela the Goddess of Death or that Benedict Cumberbatch makes an appearance as Dr. Strange. No, the thing that has us excitedly tittering over Thor: Ragnorak is the fact that Chris Hemsworth cut his hair. And it looks GOOD. Sorry, not my proudest moment but it’s true. If Hemsworth’s new ‘do isn’t enough to get you excited about Thor: Ragnorak as well, maybe you haven’t heard that it’s getting rave reviews, or that I’ve got passes to see it EARLY and FOR FREE. FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “A Bad Moms Christmas” EARLY & FOR FREE

My girlfriends have been asking me about this movie for months.
Julie, are you getting free passes to A Bad Moms Christmas? Can I get some if you do???
I’m not sure what it says about me, that my girlfriends hear BAD MOM and immediately think of ME, but…they’re right. I DO have free passes to see A Bad Moms Christmas Continue reading →

Matt Damon

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Suburbicon” EARLY & FOR FREE

Maybe you’re one of the people who are a little ticked off at Matt Damon right now, for any number of reasons. I get it. I’ve got a few questions of my own for him but, for some reason, that isn’t hampering my excitement for his new movie Suburbicon. Maybe it’s because this one is directed by George Clooney, which he wrote alongside Joel and Ethan Coen. Maybe it’s the addition of Oscar Isaac, because you know I’ve got a problem with him (read about that HERE). Maybe it’s because I can’t quite figure out what’s going on in the trailer. It doesn’t matter either way because now I HAVE to see Suburbicon. You’re in luck if you feel the same way because I have passes to see it EARLY and FOR FREE. Continue reading →

Teller & Brolin

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Only the Brave” EARLY & FOR FREE

It’s pretty crazy that Only the Brave is coming out right now, when wildfires are raging through California. This movie tells the true story of another historic wildfire though, and the elite group of firefighters who did everything in their power to stop it. Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges, Miles Teller and Taylor Kitsch all star as the Granite Mountain Hotshots in Only the Brave and, since you and I are such good friends, you get to see it EARLY & FOR FREE. Geostorm

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Geostorm” EARLY & FOR FREE

I saw the trailer for Geostorm ages ago and, at that point, it sounded kind of ridiculous. The whole idea of government-based-climate-control seemed too far-fetched, but then Harvey happened…and then Maria. Then California was hit by devastating wildfires that MAY have been caused by flickering power-lines, knocked down by heavy-winds. Suddenly the idea of government controlled weather doesn’t sound half-bad, but what if the system was HACKED??? That’s when Geostorm (starring Gerard Butler, Ed Harris and Abbie Cornish) starts sounding much less far-fetched. So, want to see Geostorm EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →

Domhnall Gleeson

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Goodbye Christopher Robin” EARLY & FOR FREE

I don’t know if I should admit this, but I had a wicked crush on Christopher Robin when I was little. I mean, I loved ALL of the Winnie the Pooh characters (especially that whiny Eeyore), but I had it bad for Christopher. I even picked up the phone when I was about 4-years-old and tried to call him once. I pressed a bunch of buttons and talked into the phone until my older sister caught me. She and my Dad then pretended that I had accidentally called the police, who had arrived and were angrily arresting my sister in the front yard.
Needless to say, I didn’t try calling Christopher Robin again, or anyone else for that matter, for about 5 more years.
That has nothing to do with the movie Goodbye Christopher Robin, which tells the true story of A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and how he was inspired by his real-life son, Christopher Robin (Will Tilston), to create the Winnie the Pooh series. If you’d like to see Goodbye Christopher Robin EARLY and FOR FREE, Continue reading →

FREE-MOVIE-PASSES: See “Professor Marston and the Wonder Women” EARLY & FOR FREE

If you’re anything like me, you might be tempted to dismiss Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, simply based on that lame title. You absolutely SHOULDN’T dismiss it though, and here’s why.
Professor William Moulton Marston (played by Luke Evans) was the creator of the Wonder Woman comics, and he was inspired by a dirty-but-awesome little secret he was keeping. Watch the trailer below Continue reading →

Dench & Fazal

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Victoria & Abdul” EARLY & FOR FREE

Are you still reeling from mother! and what they did to poor Jennifer Lawrence in the end? Still fighting with all of your film-critic buddies about it’s merits and what it was REALLY about? Oh, that’s just me? Well, how about something sweet and pleasant, that doesn’t end with JLaw getting kicked in the head?
I have passes to see Victoria & Abdul, which tells the true story of an unlikely friendship between Queen Victoria (Judy Dench) and Abdul Karim, a young clerk from India (Ali Fazal). Is it good? I don’t know, but I bet nothing freaky happens to a baby in it. Continue reading →
