The Best of Enemies is about a civil rights activist and Ku Klux Klan leader in the 1970’s, who worked together on a summit about desegregation. A relationship grew between them, through their battles and debates, that changed both of their lives forever. Want to know the really cool part? The Best of Enemies is based on a true story! It stars Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell and won’t hit theaters until April 5th, but I have passes to see The Best of Enemies EARLY and FOR FREE all over Texas! Continue reading →

DC SHAZAM!

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Shazam!” EARLY & FOR FREE

If you aren’t excited about Shazam! you probably just haven’t seen any of the glowing reviews that it’s getting. You can read some of those HERE but my favorite line comes from Benjamin Lee of The Guardian. Read his whole review HERE but the best part is when he says Shazam!, “plays like a cross between Big and Superman.” Sounds good to me! So who wants to see Shazam! EARLY and FOR FREE? FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “The Mustang” EARLY & FOR FREE

Admit it. You spend an embarrassing amount of time watching animal videos on social media, don’t you? It’s OK, we all do. My personal favorites are the stories about people who find hope and redemption through animals, which is why I’m pumped about The Mustang. This one (from Executive Producer Robert Redford) is based on a real-life prison equestrian program where the horses and inmates help each other. If The Mustang sounds like your thing, Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “The Aftermath” EARLY & FOR FREE

What is wrong with me? I just watched the entire trailer for The Aftermath, a post-WWII drama about families who are forced to share a German manor, with a big, goofy grin on my face. Maybe it’s because this drama (from Executive Producer Ridley Scott) just oozes sexual-tension, thanks to it’s stars Keira Knightley and Alexander Skarsgård. She plays the wife of a British colonel (Jason Clarke) who moves into the home of a German widower (Skarsgård). The British colonel must leave to rebuild the shattered country and that’s when the flirty glances get cranking. So, who wants to see The Aftermath EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Fighting with My Family” EARLY & FOR FREE

Fighting with My Family stars Florence Pugh as a girl who’s born into a pro-wrestling family, then follows her dreams to join the WWE. If that sounds far-fetched to you, then you’ll be surprised to know that Fighting with My Family is based on a true story and 2012 documentary of the same name. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays himself but he worked behind the scenes as well, executive-producing while British actor/writer Stephan Merchant directed. There’s an excellent cast too, including Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, The Purge) and Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers, Hacksaw Ridge) as an American WWE scout, who visits London in search of new talent. Wrestling fans already know how the story plays out, but the rest of us are in for some sweet and occasionally sad surprises. So, who wants to see Fighting with My Family EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →

Felicity Jones

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “On the Basis of Sex” EARLY & FOR FREE

On the Basis of Sex sounds like some dirty comedy that would star Dakota Johnson or Rebel Wilson, but it’s actually quite the opposite. This movie tells the story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and how she challenged gender-discrimination laws during the early years of her career. It stars Felicity Jones as Ginsburg, before she ever became a Supreme Court Justice, and Armie Hammer as her husband, Marty. So, who wants to see On the Basis of Sex EARLY and FOR FREE? FREE MOVIE PASSES: See Christian Bale in “Vice” EARLY & FOR FREE

Remember all the times you lusted after Christian Bale in those Batman movies? Or maybe you left American Psycho all thirsty from the shower scene, even though he was playing a sadistic bastard. We’ve all had our Christian Bale thoughts, but check him out in that photo above. Believe it or not, that’s him playing Dick Cheney in the movie Vice. Bale is not the only creative-casting choice from this movie either. Sam Rockwell plays a young George W. Bush and Amy Adams plays the Vice-President’s wife, Lynne Cheney in this story of the their time in office. So, who wants to see Vice EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Escape Room” EARLY & FOR FREE

Have you tried one of those escape rooms yet? If so, were you able to actually escape? I’ve tried TWICE now and still haven’t made it out, which makes the premise of Escape Room pretty scary. A group of strangers compete in an escape room, supposedly for a cash prize. They’re actually playing to survive, which means I’d be dead two times over by now. So, who wants to see Escape Room EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →
