We simply couldn’t stop talking about mother! after seeing it the other night. We debated, then agreed, then flat out fought about it’s meaning and whether or not it has any merits. If I’m being perfectly honest, I’d admit that I haven’t been a fan of Johnny Depp for years now. I’m not entirely sure why that is. Maybe he did too many stinkers like Mordecai and Dark Shadows, or maybe it’s just been too long since I’ve seen him without wigs and make-up. Whatever the reason, I no longer love Johnny Depp UNLESS he’s playing Captain Jack Sparrow. I even liked the last Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides (one of the few critics who DID), because of the delicious back-and-forth between Captain Jack and his ex-girlfriend, Angelica (Penelope Cruz). Depp gets better to me each time he dons the dreadlocks and boots, which is why I’m giving away passes to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Continue reading →
