Those of us with kids are about to spend a whole week with them at home and you know how that goes. They spend extended periods of time on their chosen devices until parental-guilt kicks in and you HAVE to take them somewhere. This is a great time to catch up on the movies you’ve missed and fortunately, there’s some fun stuff currently in theaters. I put together a list of the Julie Says So Top 5 Movies to See Over Spring Break, but these are primarily for kids 13 and under. If you have older kids (or just kids who like movies for older kids) I would add Logan and especially Get Out to the list. Make sure you check the FREE MOVIE PASSES PAGE as well, to grab some of those Kong: Skull Island tickets! Continue reading →

How did we miss this?
Maybe we were all too busy talking about Beauty and the Beast or the insanity at the Oscars to notice, but another honest-to-goodness King Kong movie is coming out.

I remember going to see Flash Gordon with my cousins back in 1980. We were all in Conway, Arkansas for the holidays and I was the youngest kid in this particular outing. I felt so cool, hanging out with the big girls (even though the Emperor Ming scared me a little) and I love that stupid movie to this day. My point is that everyone LOVES catching a movie over the holidays, especially if they have fun relatives around, and now you can do it FOR FREE. See, AMC Theaters will be offering FREE SCREENINGS of the movie Sing nationwide the Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/26/16). Continue reading →
