FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Suburbicon” EARLY & FOR FREE

Maybe you’re one of the people who are a little ticked off at Matt Damon right now, for any number of reasons. I get it. I’ve got a few questions of my own for him but, for some reason, that isn’t hampering my excitement for his new movie Suburbicon. Maybe it’s because this one is directed by George Clooney, which he wrote alongside Joel and Ethan Coen. Maybe it’s the addition of Oscar Isaac, because you know I’ve got a problem with him (read about that HERE). Maybe it’s because I can’t quite figure out what’s going on in the trailer. It doesn’t matter either way because now I HAVE to see Suburbicon. You’re in luck if you feel the same way because I have passes to see it EARLY and FOR FREE. Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Freeheld,” Starring Ellen Page & Julianne Moore

Freeheld is based on the true story of New Jersey Detective Laurel Hester (played by Julianne Moore), who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. She fought the legal system so her pension could be left to her domestic partner Stacie Andree (Ellen Page), but county officials conspired to keep her from doing so. This sounds like the makings of an Oscar contender, doesn’t it? It’s even based on an Oscar-winning short documentary. Best of all, you can see Freeheld for FREE! All you have to do is click HERE to snag those passes, then take a moment to watch the trailer. Looks like you should probably take some Kleenex to this one, too. (sniff!)

I’m a big fan of scary movies. I’ll watch my favorites like “Jaws” or “The Conjuring” over and over again because they play to my irrational fears of being eaten by sharks or chased by clapping ghosts. Then you have movies like “Still Alice,” which are a different kind of scary movie. These are even worse because they play on real, very rational fears. Continue reading →
