FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Bumblebee” EARLY & FOR FREE

Did you know that a new Transformers movie is coming out? This one is about Bumblebee and stars Hailee Steinfeld as the human he pairs up with. Want to know something really crazy? Bumblebee is getting FANTASTIC reviews. Last time I checked Rotten Tomatoes, 98% of the critics who had reviewed it loved it. Maybe it’s because Steven Spielberg is an Executive Producer, or because Hailee Steinfeld is great in anything she does, but Bumblebee is apparently a hit! So, who wants to see it EARLY and FOR FREE? FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “On the Basis of Sex” EARLY & FOR FREE

On the Basis of Sex sounds like some dirty comedy that would star Dakota Johnson or Rebel Wilson, but it’s actually quite the opposite. This movie tells the story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and how she challenged gender-discrimination laws during the early years of her career. It stars Felicity Jones as Ginsburg, before she ever became a Supreme Court Justice, and Armie Hammer as her husband, Marty. So, who wants to see On the Basis of Sex EARLY and FOR FREE? The “Julie Says So” TOP 5 MOVIES to See Right Now

There’s a radio-host that I review movies for and every week he says the same thing:

“There’s nothing but crap in the theaters right now! When is something GOOD coming out?”

I know it isn’t BLOCKBUSTER season, but there are still some great films you shouldn’t miss seeing on the big screen. I put together a list of my Top 5 Movies to See Right Now, for those of us who want to get out of the heat and into a theater (Look, it’s still in the 90’s here in Dallas so don’t tell me about that snow you’re getting in Breckenridge, OK?). MOVIE REVIEWS: “Zoolander 2” & “How to Be Single”

Isn’t it weird that this Valentine’s Day, a bunch of Comedies are opening instead of Romances? Well, there’s that Nicholas Sparks flick The Choice, but everyone heard how awful it was and scratched it off their lists. Now, all the Film Critics are telling people to see Deadpool (and you should), but Zoolander 2 and How to Be Single are opening this weekend as well. Are they worth it? Should you skip a naked Ryan Reynolds and try one of those instead? Continue reading →

PODCAST: “Zoolander 2” Review (Everything’s Better With Jell-O Shots)

Some very special guests joined Rebekah Black and I at the Zoolander 2 screening last night. My good friends Kristen and Bobby Lonnergan came along, as well as long-time Movie-Buddy, Kristi Bernstein. I love bringing Kristi to screenings because she always fills her purse with movie treats before leaving the house. She provided Mardi Gras themed Jell-O shots last night, and I’m proud to say we polished them off before the movie even started. That’s why the podcast below is a little rowdier than usual. Thanks for listening to our Zoolander 2 review and WARNING: Don’t listen to this one with the kids around. I spilled a few dirty secrets about Owen Wilson. Enjoy!
