FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Goodbye Christopher Robin” EARLY & FOR FREE

I don’t know if I should admit this, but I had a wicked crush on Christopher Robin when I was little. I mean, I loved ALL of the Winnie the Pooh characters (especially that whiny Eeyore), but I had it bad for Christopher. I even picked up the phone when I was about 4-years-old and tried to call him once. I pressed a bunch of buttons and talked into the phone until my older sister caught me. She and my Dad then pretended that I had accidentally called the police, who had arrived and were angrily arresting my sister in the front yard.
Needless to say, I didn’t try calling Christopher Robin again, or anyone else for that matter, for about 5 more years.

Few images have stuck with me like Mark Renton’s dive into “the worst toilet in Scotland,” or…dear God, that dead baby crawling across the ceiling. Despite my love for Trainspotting, I wasn’t exactly thrilled to hear they were making a sequel. Then I heard the original cast was coming back, including Ewan McGregor and Kelly MacDonald. I also found out that Danny Boyle was returning to direct, after winning an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire. Despite all of this, I didn’t get truly excited about Trainspotting 2 until I saw the trailer below. It looks PHENOMENAL. Continue reading →
