See “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” EARLY & FOR FREE

There are few things my family can agree on when we’re watching TV together. We usually just sit in front of the TV and fight until the news comes on, unless we find Bob’s Burgers. When that happens, everyone goes quiet and a joint decision is made: Bob’s it is. Of course, the debate starts once again when the 30 minute episode ends but that won’t happen during The Bob’s Burgers Movie because it’s a solid hour and 42 minutes long.

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “My Spy” EARLY & FOR FREE All Over Texas! (& New Orleans)

Can I be honest? When I first saw the poster for My Spy, I rolled my eyes. I thought, “Oh great, they’re putting Drax in movies with kids now. Perfect.” Then I watched the trailer and got genuinely excited about this movie. Sure My Spy looks cute, but it has a dose of grit so it’s not “cutesy.” Plus, it’s got Kristen Schaal who is frankly brilliant in anything. FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie” EARLY & FOR FREE

Is it strange that I read the Captain Underpants books long before I had kids?
My friend (and former 102.1 the Edge co-worker) Jessie Jessup introduced me to these stories about kids who turn their principal into a superhero years ago. I still have a few dog-eared copies left, which is why I was thrilled (and a little apprehensive) when I heard that Dreamworks was making a movie out of them.
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie stars Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch as George and Harold. Ed Helms voices their cantankerous principal, Mr. Krupp who eventually becomes Captain Underpants. Yes, I know all of this sounds ridiculous but that’s exactly WHY the books were so awesome and why the movie just might be.
