There’s so much greatness going on in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Brad Pitt is a stunt-double to Leonardo DiCaprio’s aging movie-star. Margot Robbie plays Sharon Tate as the Manson Family starts their murder-spree and, my goodness is that Dakota Fanning as Squeaky Fromme? Quentin Tarantino’s at the helm of it all, so you know this movie will take some unexpected (but hopefully fantastic) turns. So, who wants to see Once Upon a Time in HollywoodEARLY and FOR FREE? If you had to pick a Hemsworth, which one would you choose?
If you automatically said CHRIS, than you obviously haven’t seen the trailer for the new movie Independence Day: Resurgence yet. Little brother Liam Hemsworth looks pretty fantastic in it, plus he’s co-starring with Jeff Goldblum. That’s one of the movies I covered this week on the Julie Says So movie segment, which you can watch below. Remember to catch Today with Kandace weekday mornings at 8:30 on KXTA 21, and please let me know if anyone ever does let you pick a Hemsworth. I would hate to miss out on that offer. http://www.todaywithkandace.com
Yes, it IS the last weekend of April and though you SHOULD be planting veggies in the garden, you’re probably sleeping off a “Pre-Cinco de Mayo Party” hangover instead.
Hey, if you choose to spend the weekend in bed with a remote in one hand and a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos in the other, I am not gonna judge. In fact, I’ll even help you out with a list of DVDs you should be watching while you sweat-out those Palomas. (Seriously, no judgment. Those drinks are goooood.)

Look, I’m not saying The Forest is a great movie. Hell, it’s barely even a good movie, but the true story of the Aokigahara Forest is pretty incredible. The Forest is worth watching for that alone, but you have to follow it up with the Vice documentary below. Find my original review HERE, if you need to read more about how The Forest is NOT a great movie. Continue reading →
I had so much fun today on Good Morning Texas! It felt like a high school reunion because I got to see TWO former co-workers; Victoria Snee and Steve Kemble. Victoria and I went to each other’s weddings and the last time Steve and I were together, this happened:
Yes, I was dressed as him.
Today we put on our fanciest gear and hashed out the 2016 Oscars. Well, WE got dressed up. Steve Kemble wears that jacket to walk his dog. Click HERE to see our Favorite Moments from the 2016 Oscars and to watch everyone tear into Heidi Klum’s gown. Enjoy!
Special thanks to Belk at Galleria Dallas for providing my dress. I love that thing so much I might not take it back!
I talk to Trudi & Jim on WCSX Detroit all the time about movies. That’s why I was shocked and more than a little bummed when their Producer told me that they were going to talk to Leonard Maltin about the 2016 Oscars instead of me. I, being the Queen of Guilt-Trip Texts, sent him a few notes to acknowledge my hurt feelings and before long, I was on their schedule again. Truthfully, that wasn’t my plan but I’m glad it worked out that way. We had a fantastic conversation about the Oscar nominees and I completely trashed Maltin’s Oscar picks.
The 2016 Oscars will air this Sunday at 7:30 Central and the world is can barely contain it’s excitement!
Okay, that’s not really true. Most people are apathetic about this year’s nominees and the #OscarSoWhite controversy threw even more cold water on everything. I thought I’d spice things up with a good old-fashioned Oscars Drinking Game, so we’d have something to do when we weren’t making fun of everyone’s gowns and make-up choices. Before we get good and drunk though, I think we should address the old, white elephant in the room with our very first rule.
RULE #1: Take a shot of plain water anytime emcee Chris Rock makes a joke about the lack of diversity amongst Oscar voters and nominees. I suspect he’ll be at it all night, so this would be a good opportunity to hydrate. Continue reading →
I want to send a big THANK YOU to Mike Cohen of WILS Lansing, Michigan for having me on yesterday. I had a blast talking about the 2016 Oscars with him, but I was totally WRONG about a few things. First of all, Jennifer Lawrence DID win the Best Actress Golden Globe this year, but it was for a “Comedy or Musical.” I always forget that they break up the categories. Also, Idris Elba CAN’T be an African American because he’s BRITISH! Man, I’m repeatedly smacking my head over that one. Please listen to the podcast below and feel free to tell me what else I was wrong about, except my Oscar picks. We all know I’m right about those. Thanks Again Mike!
