FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “The Magnificent Seven” ON ME!

Where has Chris Pratt been? Sure, I’ve seen him nightly on HBO since they’re playing Jurassic World on repeat, but it’s been far too long since my pretend-boyfriend was on the big screen. This dry-spell will come to an end soon, thank goodness, since The Magnificent Seven is hitting theaters September 23rd.

The Magnificent Seven stars Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, along with the Pool-Boy-of-Your-Dreams Chris Pratt, as gunmen who band together to save a town from thieves. It isn’t a remake of the 1960’s classic, just a re-imagining, so you purists can relax. The Magnificent Seven also stars Haley Bennett, who has had a HUGE year after starring in Hardcore Henry in the spring and in The Girl on the Train next month. Haley is the girl you keep thinking is Jennifer Lawrence, but isn’t.

If you’d like to see The Magnificent Seven EARLY and FOR FREE, just click HERE, then watch the trailer below. See, you totally thought she was Jennifer Lawrence, didn’t you?

MOVIE REVIEW: “The Nice Guys” Gosling & Crowe Are Like Fries In My Frosty

Remember the first time someone told you to try dipping your french fries in your Frosty? Remember how it sounded SO GROSS, but then you tried it and it changed how you saw fries and Frosties forever?

Well, that’s how I feel about The Nice Guys.

Ryan Gosling stars as Holland March, a shady Private Detective who has grown even shadier since the death of his wife. He crosses paths with thug-for-hire Jackson Healy (played by Russell Crowe) while they are both following the trail of a missing girl. They clash initially but end up working together to sort through the sleazy world of porn and politics in 1970’s Los Angeles.

What does any of this have to do with my fry and Frosty comparison? Continue reading →

PODCAST: Movie Chat With Trudi & Jim at WCSX in Detroit

I started reviewing movies for Trudi & Jim at WCXS in Detroit back in February when Fifty Shades of Grey came out. I love these guys because A) Trudi is awesome and because B) Jim lived in Plano & worked at KVIL for a while. He is awesome as well. I also love these guy because C) they will let me talk & talk & TALK. Any other radio stations I talk to keep my reviews under five minutes. This review is 14 MINUTES LONG! Lord knows, I could talk for DAYS if given the chance.
This week we discussed Magic Mike XXL, Ted 2, and your chance to see Trainwreck WITH Amy Schumer in NYC!
Thanks again to Trudi & Jim! Hope we can get cocktails together one of these days!

PODCAST: Boozy Movies Reviews “Magic Mike XXL” And Makes It Rain

We were lucky enough to catch an early screening of Magic Mike XXL and to be honest, things got out of hand. There were stacks of fake money and hot guys dancing on boxes, and that was before the movie even started! I was joined by the usual Boozy Movies Film Critics; Rebekah Black, Sybil Summers and Richie Whitt but we also had a Special Guest Critic, Jasmine Sadry from Jagger Mornings on 102.1 the Edge! Here’s what we thought of the movie and well….someone just MIGHT have to turn in their Film-Critic Card.
