Must-See September Movies on “Good Morning Texas”

I was on Good Morning Texas today, discussing all the September movies you should add to your Must-See list. Many will be available through streaming services but some will require you to mask up and hit your local theater (like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which opens this weekend). Click HERE to watch the segment and remember to buy your tickets early, in case the screenings sell-out. The Julie Says So MOVIE MINUTE podcast will be back next week with any release-date changes (there’s a new one for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the Top Gun sequel, Maverick) and a review of The Eyes of Tammy Faye so find that HERE or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Before you leave, check out the brand-new trailer for Red Notice (hitting Netflix November 12th) because Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson apparently need to be in every movie that comes out this year.

Troop Zero

See “Troop Zero” EARLY & FOR FREE & with McKenna Grace!

Before you do anything else, go ahead and watch the trailer for Troop Zero below.

Now you want to see it, don’t you? Well, I just happen to have passes to a free screening and the stars of the film will be there! That’s right, McKenna Grace (I, Tonya, The Haunting of Hill House), Charlie Shotwell (Captain Fantastic) and Milan Ray (Boomerang) will all be there for a Q&A after the film. So, want to check it out? Click HERE to snag passes to this special screening of Troop Zero, then go ahead and watch that precious trailer a second time.
Troop Zero is rated PG and will be released on Amazon Prime January 17th.

MOVIE REVIEWS: “Gifted” & “Going in Style”

I couldn’t get to the Gifted screening this week, despite my admittedly-embarrassing love for Chris Evans. Sorry, but I’m a busy Mom and sometimes sh*t happens, which is why I’m grateful for my movie-buddy Rebekah Black. She was able to see Gifted and write a review for me, though she clearly expected it to suck. Continue reading →

Chris Evans

We can all pretend that I’m excited about Gifted because I have tremendous respect for Chris Evans’ body of work. I’ll admit that it’s nice to see him OUT of the Captain America suit and working with Octavia Spencer again (they were in Snowpiercer together), but really, I’d watch that man in anything.
