We covered some great streaming shows in this episode of the JSS Movie Minute, like the latest season of Stranger Things, Barry, Obi Wan Kenobi and Julie’s new favorite show, I Love That for You. Julie also has some pretty strong opinions about Jurassic World Dominion. Remember to find earlier episode at JulieSaysSo.com and to look through the films available on the Free Movie Passes page! And take a look below at this week’s trailer for the new horror flick, The Menu.
Did anyone really need a new addition to the Scream franchise? Doesn’t matter because Hollywood gave us one anyway. Click the podcast above to hear what we thought about it, as well as quick reviews of Parallel Mothers, A Hero and John Cena’s new streamer, Peacemaker (and Julie dishes on her new crush, Ghosts on CBS). We’ll also introduce you to a film that’s opening in March and checks all kinds of icky boxes (and yet we’re oddly intrigued). Find the X trailer below and let us know if you plan to see it!
This weeks Julie Says So MOVIE MINUTE podcast covers some big new releases, like Ghostbusters Afterlife and King Richard, as well as the Netflix original Christmas movie, Father Christmas is Back. They also discuss some creepy holiday offerings you should add to your list, including the Elves series and Silent Night. Listen below and then check out the trailer for Silent Night, which hits theaters and AMC+ December 3rd.
I saw American Made (starring Tom Cruise and directed by Doug Liman) last night with two of my movie buddies, Andrew Conway and Mark Walters of BigFanboy.com. Then we had to sit down and come to terms with the fact that Tom Cruise is 55-freaking-years-old! How is that even possible??? Is American Made worth your time and hard earned money? Will you really get to see Tom Cruise’s naked butt or is that a butt-double? Listen to the podcast below to find out! And don’t forget to check my website to see what FREE MOVIE PASSES I’m giving away next! Continue reading →
We simply couldn’t stop talking about mother! after seeing it the other night. We debated, then agreed, then flat out fought about it’s meaning and whether or not it has any merits. So, are you planning to see mother! this weekend? If so, you might want to listen to my chat with Rebekah Black and Chic (Red Carpet Crash) from Wednesday night. Given a chance, we’d probably still be sitting at Trinity Hall drinking and fighting about it!
I saw the 2017 adaption of Stephen King’s IT with some girlfriends, then we got cocktails and discussed it. Thanks to Rebekah Black, Tracy Martin Taylor and Adelfa Cardenas for joining me in the podcast. Especially Adelfa, who never read or saw the original IT and based her review on the video’s COVER! Listen to the podcast below Continue reading →
Rebekah Black and I saw The Hitman’s Bodyguard last night, then had some drinks and fought about Samuel L. Jackson’s real age. We also discussed this week’s Women Texas Film Festival, as well as the tragic news from the set of Deadpool 2 Monday. Check it all out in the podcast and don’t forget to visit the Free Movie Passes page to see what I’m giving away next. Keep your fingers crossed that I’ll get passes to see Stephen King’s It soon!
Rebekah Black and I saw The Accountant last night and had pretty extreme reactions to it. In fact, one of us even started yelling at the movie screen during the film. Here is our review and I’m proud to say that it’s 100% Spoiler Free. Well, at least no one behind us feel asleep and snored through it, like The Girl on the Train last week. Enjoy!
And because we talked about it so much, here’s the trailer for John Wick: Chapter 2. (SQUEEE!)
