I started compiling a list of my favorite 2015 movies, but it was really lame. I got bored just writing it so I can’t imagine how much it would suck for the poor person reading it. The last thing anyone wants right now is another dry Top 10 List, right? I have one, which I will post at the end of this, but it actually excluded some of the coolest theater experiences I had this year. That’s why I decided to compile a list of The Best, Worst and Weirdest of 2015 Film. Continue reading →
I talked to Gene & Julie on Mix 101.5 in Raleigh, North Carolina recently. I do this on a regular basis but it’s still kind of crazy. I mean, I’ve known those guys FOREVER, like back when we were all single people (most people think G&J are a bizarre form of twins who were born married). It’s also crazy because I was born in North Carolina and have elementary school buddies who live in Raleigh and can listen when I’m on-the-air. I don’t know if they actually DO listen but I still think that’s kind of cool.
I did a “Summer Wrap-Up” segment with G&J this week, where we discussed movies you need to see in the theater before the season ends. I took most of July and parts of August off, so I missed some movies that have gotten FANTASTIC reviews. I made a special list for those guys, as well. You’ll have to forgive me for my #1 pick and don’t worry. I’ve already gotten LOADS of flack about that one. Click HERE for a link to the podcast, featuring my Top 5 Summer Movies Not To Miss. Thanks again to Gene & Julie. I always love talking to you guys!
Well, look at that! We went and made a VIDEO this week instead of the usual podcast. My dear friend Steven Visneau, who is without a doubt THE MOST TALENTED photographer I know, said “Why don’t you let me film that movie review for you?” I think he (and possibly everyone else) was getting tired of hearing us scream into my tiny mic during the podcast. Whatever the reason, we have an actual YouTube video for you to watch this week. Sadly, Sybil Summers & Richie Whitt couldn’t join us because…well, you’ll see why. Enjoy!
I saw San Andreas last night with Richie Whitt and Rebekah Black, then we had pink, fluffy cocktails and chatted about it. Sybil Summers didn’t join us this week because she thought it looked like a stupid movie. SHE WAS WRONG!
You could be like Sybil and assume the worst, or you could listen to our podcast and find out for sure.
Make sure you grab free passes to see Melissa McCarthy in Spy with us NEXT week. You can do that by clicking HERE. Richie Whitt assumes THAT ONE will be bad but you know what happens when you ASSUME things, right? You make an Ass-Hat…or something.
Man, it has been a banner week for Melissa McCarthy. First, she was all over the news for schooling a film critic who said horrible things about her. THEN she showed up to get her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame looking like this:
NICE WORK, LADY! Continue reading →
I was TERRIFIED about being on TV today but I think it went pretty well. I DID say “disingenuine” which I’m pretty sure isn’t even a word, but I held it together otherwise. Thanks again to Christine Visneau of Veecaravan for outfitting me and to everyone at Good Morning Texas for having me on. I’ll be back next month to review Jurassic World and I heard they might have something fun/scary in store!
