I was on Good Morning Texas today, talking about all the biggest movies opening this month. I had reviews for Thor: Love and Thunder, Minions: Rise of Gru and Where the Crawdads Sing, plus a preview of the most anticipated film of the year, Nope. Click HERE to watch the segment, then watch the latest trailer for Nope below!
I was so excited when Good Morning Texas expressed interest in sharing the Julie Says So “What’s Streaming” segments, THEN I attempted to film one on Zoom. Three days (and multiple meltdowns) later, I still couldn’t find a way to fix my hair. You’ll just have to pretend it isn’t magically disappearing and then reappearing as you watch the segment, but you’ll still get some excellent streaming ideas for Memorial Day Weekend. Watch it HERE and huge “Thanks” to Good Morning Texas for sharing my work!
As always, thank you Vintaglio Jewelry for providing the bling. Take a look at their website and gorgeous hand-made pieces HERE.
I hit Good Morning Texas today to talk about the 2020 Oscars and how 1917 was ROBBED!!! No, I’m just kidding. I loved Parasite and was pleased to see it make history last night. Just wish Sam Mendes would’ve gotten a tiny bit more love. Click HERE to hear the rest of our thoughts and remember to hit the Free Movie Passes page to see what I’m giving away!
The Golden Globes have always been loosey-goosey (yes, that presenter is probably drunk) and they’ve been known to throw curve-balls in the past (I’m still not over that Bohemian Rhapsody win). This year, the race is especially tight with legends like Martin Scorcese, Al Pacino, Renee Zellwegger and Jennifer Aniston in the mix, but (relative) newcomers like Awkwafina, Bong Joon-Ho and Billy Porter might surprise them all. Click HERE to watch my Golden Globes predictions on WFAA Good Morning Texas, then tell me your own predictions in the Comments below. And check the Julie Says SoFree Movie Passes page while you’re here, to score freebies to the next big Golden Globes winner!
(Extra special thanks to Vintaglio Jewelry for providing the bling today!)
I was on Good Morning Texas today to talk about the 2019 Golden Globes and how they will affect the Oscars this year. The countless surprises during the Globes ceremony have ignited debates everywhere, and this morning was no exception. Alanna Sarabia felt that Bohemian Rhapsody deserved that Best Picture win (which I strongly disagree with) while Jane McGarry had reservations about Green Book (which I understand but still love the film). The debates didn’t end there, because my friends started tweeting and texting their complaints to me as I walked out of the WFAA studios. We’ll just have to see how things pan out on January 22nd when the Oscar nominations are announced, and then on February 24th when the Oscars air on ABC. In the meantime, watch my Good Morning Texas segment HERE and see if you want to debate me, too! You can also click the Alamo Drafthouse link below to buy tickets and catch up on all of those award-winning films!
I was just on Good Morning Texas, covering all the big movies that will open over Christmas break. This week alone, we’ll see the releases of Aquaman, Welcome to Marwen, Second Act, and Bumblebee. Mary Poppins Returns just opened too, so there are plenty of great new films to check out. I sat down with Jane McGarry to talk about my favorites and cover some films you might not have heard of yet. Watch that HERE and remember to check my FREE MOVIE PASSES page because I’ve got a ton of freebies there! Want to buy tickets NOW? Find a movie & help support this website HERE:
Also, thanks to the WFAA Security Guru Kalen, for catching this shot of Jane and I on the American Airlines Center big screen! My head is HUGE!
I was on Good Morning Texas yesterday and I may have gotten a little too excited about all the big movies that are opening soon. There are a handful of scary ones (like Halloween and Suspiria) that I’m so pumped about, and some of my favorite actors are trying their hands at directing! Click HERE to watch all of that, and check the Free Movie Passes page while you’re here, to see what I’m giving away next! I’m also including the full Suspiria trailer below, because it’s NUTS!
I was on Good Morning Texas today, breaking down all my favorite moments from the 2018 Emmy’s with Jane McGarry, Alanna Sarabia and Holly Quartaro from the Galleria Dallas. Click HERE to watch the segment, but there were TWO important things that I didn’t have time to mention!
First of all, do you remember that strange man who shook Bill Hader’s hand after he won? Teddy Perkins is HERE!
If you watch the show Atlanta on FX, you’ll recognize him as Teddy Perkins from what has to be the freakiest episode of that series yet! You can read more about him HERE, or better yet, just go find the Teddy Perkins episode and WATCH IT!
I also wanted to talk about Joe Keery (“Steve” from Stranger Things) and his voluminous mullet. The Twitter-verse just about imploded when he showed up with…wait. Who was he with? I know he had a date but I was too busy looking at that hair. Majestic Mullet Wears Joe Keery to the 2018 Emmy’s
Feel free to share your favorite moments from the 2018 Emmy’s in the “Comments” below and remember to check the Free Movie Passes page while your here. I hope to have freebies to see A Star Is Born any day now!
I was on Good Morning Texas today, telling everyone what movies they should see in the following weeks. I always love talking to Jane McGarry and Alanna Sarabia and if you listen carefully, you’ll hear me cluck like a chicken at them for freaking out over The Nun. I also promised to post the trailer for The Nun that YouTube pulled for being TOO SCARY. Click HERE to watch that but BE WARNED! You should probably avoid it if you have a weak heart…or bladder.
