See “Where the Crawdads Sing” Early & For Free (Reserved Seats)

If you’re a fan of the 2018 novel Where the Crawdads Sing, you were probably thrilled to learn that Reese Witherspoon’s production company was bringing it to the big screen. Covid threatened to sideline production but the film adaptation (starring Daisy Edgar-Jones) finally hits theaters July 15th. Even better, I have 5 pairs of passes to see it EARLY and FOR FREE on July 13th! These are reserved seats, meaning you won’t have to get there early and wait in line, so they will go quickly! Simply tell me who wrote Where the Crawdads Sing in the “Comments” below. The first 5 who answer correctly will score the tickets. Good luck everyone! Take a minute to watch the Where the Crawdads Sing trailer below and to hear Taylor Swift’s Carolina, which she wrote just for the film.
FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “A Wrinkle in Time” EARLY & FOR FREE
My kids are bigger cynics than I am, when it comes to movies.
They see almost as many films as I do and have had their hearts broken by more than one (read Emma’s review of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children HERE for a taste of that). The girls know that it’s often best to keep your expectations low, which might be why I’m struggling to get them excited about A Wrinkle in Time. They enjoyed the book by Madeleine L’Engle, but know how hard it is for movies to live up to the originals. They’re too young to appreciate Ava DuVernay and how cool it is that she’s directing this, or to understand why I’m excited to see Mindy Kaling on the big screen. In fact, the only person my kids are pumped about seeing in A Wrinkle in Time is Oprah Winfrey, but it might be because of her I Love Bread vine.
It doesn’t really matter because I’m making them see A Wrinkle in Time with me anyhow and YOU CAN TOO, thanks to this stack of FREE MOVIE PASSES I just got! Continue reading →
FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Home Again” EARLY & FOR FREE
Wouldn’t it be cool to be Reese Witherspoon and make movies based on what kind of mood you were in?
“I feel like making a movie out of my favorite book!”
She makes the Oscar-nominated Wild.
“I feel like living in Monterey with my girlfriends for a while!”
She makes Big Little Lies.
“I feel like making out with a super-adorable 26-year-old dude!”
Reese Witherspoon makes Home Again.
In this one, Witherspoon plays a single mom who lets 3 sweet, 20-something-year-old guys move in with her and, yes, she hooks up with one of them (Pico Alexander). If you’d like to see Home Again EARLY and FOR FREE, Continue reading →
JULIE SAYS SO Fall Movie Preview on “Good Morning Texas”
I absolutely LOVE IT when I look at the calendar and see nothing but great movies on the horizon. That’s exactly what I was talking about on Good Morning Texas today. I joined Jane McGarry (who apparently cranks up rap music when she isn’t on TV) and Alanna Sarabia (who’s so young, she wasn’t sure who John McEnroe was…but we love her anyway!) to talk about Patti Cake$, Mother!, Battle of the Sexes, Home Again, 9/11, American Made and the movie I simply can’t stop talking about, It. I even had some juicy gossip to share about Jennifer Lawrence’s latest fling and our newest Pennywise the Clown, who scared some child actors on the set so badly, he left them crying. Click HERE to watch the segment, then visit the Free Movie Passes page to see what I’m giving away next. In fact, I should have tickets to see It very soon so check that page DAILY. SING SATURDAY: See “Sing” For Free NATIONWIDE!
I remember going to see Flash Gordon with my cousins back in 1980. We were all in Conway, Arkansas for the holidays and I was the youngest kid in this particular outing. I felt so cool, hanging out with the big girls (even though the Emperor Ming scared me a little) and I love that stupid movie to this day. My point is that everyone LOVES catching a movie over the holidays, especially if they have fun relatives around, and now you can do it FOR FREE. See, AMC Theaters will be offering FREE SCREENINGS of the movie Sing nationwide the Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/26/16). Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Hot Pursuit” On Me!
Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara have a new movie coming out called Hot Pursuit. It’s about a straight-laced cop who has to protect a sexy widow from the mafia, so it’s pretty easy to guess which actress plays which character. Witherspoon and Vergara supposedly became besties while filming this movie so I think they need one of those combination names, like Brangelina. I’m going with Rofia Witherboobs.
I have passes to a screening of Hot Pursuit next week, so click the link below if you’d like to go. It’s Wednesday night (5/6) at the AMC Northpark, which is one of my favorite theaters because they have a bar. I’ll probably be at this one too so smile & wave if you see me, but don’t ask about the flask in my purse. Sorry but those drinks get PRICEY!
