RAPID REVIEW- “Thor: Love and Thunder” Suffers from Its Own Director

Thor: Love and Thunder finds the Norse god at a major crossroads in his life. Without a battle to fight or love to follow, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is listless and lost. His ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is inexplicably drawn to New Asgard during her own personal struggle and together they must battle a new threat who plans to murder all of the Gods.

Thor: Love and Thunder has two main issues working against it.

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Creed II” EARLY & FOR FREE

I was completely blown away by the first Creed. Not give-Sylvester-Stallone-an-Oscar-right-now blown away, but I DO remember having all the tingly-feels that I got from the original Rocky. I suspect Creed II will offer the same type of excitement because, this time Adonis has to battle Viktor Drago. YES, that’s Ivan Drago’s son from Rocky IV, and Dolph Lundgren is even IN this movie! So, who wants to see Creed II EARLY and FOR FREE? Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Sorry to Bother You” EARLY & FOR FREE

If you aren’t excited about the film Sorry to Bother You, you must not have read any of it’s crazy-enthusiastic reviews. One of my favorites comes from Alex Arabian of filminquiry.com, who says this:
Sorry To Bother You is an intelligent, batshit crazy satire that offers plenty of the theater of the absurd, a standout performance from Lakeith Stanfield, the most original script of the past two years, and plenty of laughs and food for thought.”
Sounds pretty great, right? You can read the rest of that review HERE (or browse through the other glowing Rotten Tomatoes reviews HERE), OR you could just grab FREE PASSES to see Sorry to Bother You from me! Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See Natalie Portman in “Annihilation” EARLY & FOR FREE

If you’re a fan of the Southern Reach book series, then you already know what Annihilation is about. If you’re like the rest of us who AREN’T familiar with the books, you’ll probably watch this trailer and think, “What tha HELL is going on here?”
Natalie Portman stars as a woman who joins a dangerous expedition in hopes of saving her husband. That’s really all I could figure out, other than there’s something that looks like a bubble over everything that’s turning people into monsters. The coolest thing about Annihilation though, is the cast. Watch the trailer below and tell me what YOU think is different about it. Then grab passes to see Annihilation EARLY and FOR FREE Continue reading →

MOVIE REVIEW: Life’s too Hard to NOT See “Thor: Ragnarok”

I’ll talk about Thor: Ragnarok in a moment but first I’d like to address the big picture…
LIFE is hard.
If you need proof, just look around you. Everyone I know is going through something awful right now. I have friends who are fighting cancer, and friends who are caring for parents who are fighting cancer. I have friends who have lost their jobs, and friends who are trapped in jobs that they HATE. I have friends who worry desperately for their children, and who can’t turn the TV on at night because the bad news they see freaks them out even more.
In other words, everything seems to suck right now, for just about everyone.
Don’t we all deserve something GOOD? Don’t we deserve a moment to escape and feel light, or powerful, or maybe to just laugh our asses off?
Now, I’m ready to talk about Thor: Ragnarok. Continue reading →

FREE MOVIE PASSES: See “Thor: Ragnorak” EARLY & FOR FREE

My daughters and I have been pumped about Thor: Ragnorak for AGES. You know what has us the most excited though? Not the fact that Mark Ruffalo shows up as The Hulk, or that Tom Hiddleston is back as Loki. Nor were we jazzed that Cate Blanchett plays Hela the Goddess of Death or that Benedict Cumberbatch makes an appearance as Dr. Strange. No, the thing that has us excitedly tittering over Thor: Ragnorak is the fact that Chris Hemsworth cut his hair. And it looks GOOD. Sorry, not my proudest moment but it’s true. If Hemsworth’s new ‘do isn’t enough to get you excited about Thor: Ragnorak as well, maybe you haven’t heard that it’s getting rave reviews, or that I’ve got passes to see it EARLY and FOR FREE.
